In the last ABOR Ordinary meeting, performed on the April 08th, 2006 in Campinas, during the 3rd Orthodontics Sao Paulo Congress and 2nd APEO International Congress – Sao Paulo Association of Orthodontics and Facial Orthopedics Specialists, the Superior Counsel of ABOR met to deliberate on relevant important issues to Brazilian Orthodontics. Besides the election of the new direction for the 2006/2008 biennium, the following issues made part in the order: Reports of the current direction; ABOR Member Specialist Valuing Campaign; Discussion of the ABOR annuity for 2006; Reports of the meetings between ABOR Direction and CNE, CAPES, SESU and CFO – regarding Specialization resources; Report of the 5th ABOR Congress from the ABOR President – Bahia; New events calendar discussion from associate entities and others. The last item of the day order was the election of the new direction, such as, the Fiscal Counsel and Ethics Committee. Elected for the 2006 to 2008 biennium is Dr. Ronaldo da Veiga Jardim for President and Dr. Luciano da Silva Carvalho for Vice-President. For Fiscal Counsel the elected were Drs. Hildembrand Althaus, José Ferreira Rocha Junior and Dr. Patrícia França Gomes; for the Ethics Committee the elected were Drs. Carlos Alberto Mundstock, Ricardo Lombardi de Farias and Ricardo Machado Cruz.
After the election Dr. Kurt Faltin Junior past tenure to the new president and thanked everyone the help and agility during the mandate. The new president Dr. Ronaldo da Veiga Jardim thanked the thrust given to in his name and reaffirmed his commitment in continuing the work being performed, which is unite and strengthen all State Entities the compose the ABOR Deliberative Superior Counsel to improve the greatness of our Specialty. After his announce he named the members to be executive directors which will follow him in this new management. As secretary Dr. Jairo Curado de Freitas, Treasurer Dr. Rubens Rodrigues Tavares, Scientific Director Dr. Kurt Faltin Junior and Communication Director Dr. José Euclides Nascimento.
